Domaine De Chantilly is one of the jewels of French heritage. It is also the work of an exceptional man, Henry of Orleans, Duke of Aumale, son of the last Emperor of the France, Louis-Philippe. The Prince, considered the greatest art collector of his time, made Domaine De Chantilly the jewel of his innumerable masterpieces and precious artifacts. The castle has survived the centuries as the Duke of Aumalepassed the ownership of it in 1886 to the Institut de France. Today Domaine de Chantilly operates as a Museum and is the crown of Chantilly.
